Exclusive license plate auction reaches 1 billion soums in Uzbekistan

In Tashkent, a rare license plate intended for legal entities was sold for a record-breaking 1 billion 14 million soums. The plate, numbered 01 888 BBB, was auctioned online through the avtoraqam.uzex.uz portal.
The bidding for the exclusive license plate began at 337.5 million soums. However, by the end of the auction, the price had surged to 965.25 million soums, marking it as the highest bid for the plate.
The final amount reached 1 billion 14 million soums, factoring in a commission payment of 48.7 million soums and a deposit of 33.75 million soums.
Previously, a similar license plate, 01 777 RRR, was sold for 894 million soums ($75,000), making this recent sale the most expensive to date.
