Every Thursday will be observed as “Youth Day” in ministries, agencies, and local administrations across Uzbekistan. The announcement was made on February 24 during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s meeting with young people at the Kuksaroy residence.
On this day, officials responsible for the sector will visit mahallas, schools, and technical colleges to listen to young people and address their concerns.
Regional governors will implement youth-oriented trade and service projects, support young people in accessing education, engaging in sports, learning professions and foreign languages, securing employment, or starting businesses. They will also hold meetings with startup founders and allocate dedicated funding and grants.
Competitions and fairs on engaging topics will be organized for outstanding young household farmers, agricultural producers, industrial workers, startup founders, creatives, and representatives of other fields.
Earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated that amid emerging global threats targeting the minds of young people, leaders at all levels must transition to a new system of working with youth.
