Eid al-Adha celebration day in Uzbekistan was announced

80636President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree titled "On the celebration of Eid al-Adha," as reported by the President's press service.
According to the decree, Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on June 16, 2024, as the first day of the holiday falls on this date, which is a Sunday.
Since the first day of Eid al-Adha coincides with a weekend, the holiday will be observed on Monday, June 17, with Tuesday, June 18, designated as an additional day off for all employees.
"Local state authorities, responsible ministries, and agencies are instructed to take appropriate measures to celebrate Eid al-Adha in accordance with the national traditions and customs. They are also tasked with ensuring favorable conditions and opportunities for citizens to organize pilgrimages to significant shrines and historical sites during the Eid al-Adha days," the message states.
It is also noted that Eid al-Adha will be observed on June 16 in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Saudi Arabia.
