Uzbek teams starts the Chess Olympiad with victories

On September 11, the World Chess Olympiad, which began in Budapest, Hungary, saw both the Uzbekistan men's and women's teams secure victories in their opening matches.

The men's team defeated Trinidad and Tobago with a score of 3.5-0.5, while the women's team won against Haiti with a score of 4-0.

In the second round of the 45th World Chess Olympiad, Uzbekistan’s men's team will face Egypt, and the women's team will compete against Angola.

It is worth noting that the Uzbekistan men’s national team is participating in the competition as the defending champions.
