Uzbekistan has been included in the top 10 of the World Muslim Travel Index

Uzbekistan has been registered in the top ten in the annual ranking of the World Muslim Travel Index announced by Crescent Rating. This was announced at the “Halal in Travel - Global Summit 2022” dedicated to the restoration and development of the market of Muslim tourism in Singapore.

It is noted that the rating is based on more than 40 criteria, including the policy of openness of the country to tourists, opportunities for Muslim tourists, promotion and marketing, and the level of transfer of Islamic heritage to tourists.

Fazal Bahardeen, head of Crescent Rating, stressed the outcomes of this year, recognizing Uzbekistan as the fastest growing country in the ranking and a role model for others.

For reference, from 1 January in Uzbekistan, 35 restaurants (fast-food chains) and 4 hotels have obtained rating and “Halal” certificates.
