A $500 million company will be established between Uzbekistan and Singapore

An Uzbekistan-Singapore investment company with a charter capital of 500 million dollars will be established.  Today, on 17 January, within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Singapore, an agreement was reached on the establishment of this company.  This was reported by the Press Service of the President of Uzbekistan.

It is noted that the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong held talks at the "Istana" residence in Singapore.

At the meeting, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev outlined the following five main areas of cooperation with Singapore soon:

• development of human capital and training of highly qualified personnel for public administration;
• Involving Singapore in privatization processes in Uzbekistan;
• attraction to advanced "green" technologies and digital solutions;
• improvement of city infrastructure and communications;
• expansion of investments and mutual trade, promotion of joint projects with leading companies of Singapore.

At the end of this meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited Li Xiang Lun to visit Uzbekistan at his convenience.

It should be recalled that Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited the President of Singapore Halima Yaqub to visit Uzbekistan at her convenience.
