On December 2, the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Bahromjon Aloyev, met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Uzbekistan, Said Matar al-Qamzi, to discuss the recent challenges faced by Uzbek citizens entering the UAE. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported on the meeting.

"The discussions focused on the difficulties experienced by Uzbek nationals in gaining entry to the UAE, particularly those who were recently denied entry at Sheikh Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi," the report states.

Both parties agreed to take prompt and appropriate measures to resolve the situation and prevent further occurrences.

In addition to addressing the entry issues, the meeting covered broader topics of cooperation, including strengthening political, trade, economic, and investment relations between Uzbekistan and the UAE.

This development follows reports that 31 Uzbek citizens, who traveled to Abu Dhabi on a Wizz Air flight from Tashkent, were denied entry to the Emirates for reasons that remain unclear.
