Uzbekistan will send aid to Turkey

9872Today, 6 February, Uzbekistan will send humanitarian aid to Turkey, which suffered from a strong earthquake. Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov gave information about this.
"According to the order of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a group of rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations will be sent to provide humanitarian aid to those affected by the strong earthquake in Turkey and participate in resolving the consequences of the natural disaster," Asadov said.
It should be recalled that today, 6 February a strong earthquake of magnitude 7.9 (7.4 according to preliminary data) occurred in the central part of Turkey and northwestern Syria. As a result of the earthquake, 912 people died and 5,385 were injured in Turkey. 2,818 buildings were destroyed, and 2,470 people were rescued from the rubble.
