The national team of Uzbekistan can play against Russian again

Vice-president of the Football Association of Uzbekistan Odil Akhmedov said that the national team of the country may play a friendly match with Russia on the road.  “Sport24.ru” reported about this.

“We have not yet discussed the issue of a friendly match between the national teams of Uzbekistan and Russia with the Russian Football Federation.  I enjoyed the last friendly, so we’ll be back and I think there will be a friendly in the future.  The fact that the game will be held in Russia is not a problem for us.  Besides, we received the Russian national team in Tashkent, now it’s Russia’s turn,” says Akhmedov.

Also, the national team of Uzbekistan is scheduled to play a friendly match against Albania on 24 March.

It should be recalled that in November 2022, the national teams of Uzbekistan and Russia played each other for the first time.  The control match in Tashkent ended with a score of 0:0.
