The Chess Federation of Uzbekistan was awarded prestigious prizes

The “Asian Chess 2023” summit was held by the Asian Chess Federation in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE.  This was reported by the press service of the Chess Federation of Uzbekistan.

The 5th Annual Asian Chess Excellence Awards ceremony was held within the framework of the summit.  The Chess Federation of Uzbekistan won in three nominations.

Uzbekistan was recognized as the best national team of the year for winning the 44th World Chess Olympiad held in Chennai, India.  For winning the silver medal at the World Youth Chess Olympiad held in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan, the award for the best youth national team of the year was also presented to the Chess Federation of Uzbekistan.

Grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattarov from Uzbekistan won the prize of the best rapid player of the year.

It should be recalled that at the end of January, following the results and sensational victories of Uzbek chess players in international arenas over the past year, Uzbekistan was recognized as the best chess country of the year.  At the end of the “Tata Steel Chess-2023” international tournament held in the Netherlands, Uzbekistani chess players Nodirbek Abdusattarov and Javahir Sindorov received the “Tour d’or” – “Golden Tower” prize, which is awarded to the best chess country of the year.
