Uzbekistan has doubled its sugar imports

Between January-September 2022, Uzbekistan imported 48,600 tons of sugar worth 33.2 million US dollars from 10 foreign countries. This was reported by the State Statistics Committee.
It is noted that sugar imports increased by 25.3 thousand tons compared to the corresponding period of 2021.
The countries where Uzbekistan imported the most sugar in the last 9 months of 2022:
• India - 24 thousand tons;
• Pakistan - 11 thousand tons;
• UAE – 6.8 thousand tons;
• China - 3.8 thousand tons;
• Iran – 1.9 thousand tons.
