Uzbekistan’s March opponents revealed

The Uzbekistan national football team may play matches against two of the national teams of Gabon, Iceland, and Trinidad and Tobago during the March international window as part of the FIFA Series. This was reported by the Asean Football portal.

According to the source, the participants of the tournament to be hosted in Uzbekistan have already been determined. Fabio Cannavaro’s side is expected to face two of the national teams of Gabon, Iceland, and Trinidad and Tobago within the framework of the competition.

The 2026 FIFA Series tournament will cover several regions around the world. In addition to Uzbekistan, Australia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mauritius, Puerto Rico, and Rwanda have also been selected as host countries.

The FIFA Series 2026 is a new format in international football, allowing national teams from different confederations to compete against each other outside official qualifiers and continental tournaments.

Teams will be divided into groups of four representing different regions of the world. Each team in a group will play two friendly matches.
