Uzbekistan has intensified its military readiness and professional development programs in 2024, increasing combat preparedness by 1.5 times compared to the previous year. This was highlighted during a meeting of the Senate Committee on Defense and Security on December 24.

Operational training exercises involved extensive collaboration with partner nations, including the United States, India, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The drills focused on the integration and utilization of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in modern combat scenarios, enhancing counter-drone tactics, and developing new strategic approaches.

A Senate statement emphasized that these exercises aim to refine the skills of military personnel at all operational levels, from tactical to strategic. The training underscores the growing importance of drone warfare and technological adaptability in contemporary military operations.

Additionally, in 2024, Uzbek troops engaged in specialized combat training alongside military personnel from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan.

Significant advancements were made in defense technology infrastructure. The Ministry of Defense implemented the "Call" subsystem within its "Automated Information System and Database" framework across all defense units. This system facilitates electronic data exchange and integrates with key national platforms such as the Ministry of Internal Affairs' "Address" system, the Ministry of Justice’s "Passport for Exit Abroad," and the "Youth Balance" and "Electronic Government" platforms. A comprehensive digital database for conscripts was also established.
