Uzbekistan condemns the explosion near the Russian embassy in Kabul

The official Tashkent condemned the explosion at the Russian Embassy in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.  This was stated in the report by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

“We strongly condemn the terrorist act committed on 5 September 2022, near the consulate of the Russian Federation in the city of Kabul, which resulted in the death of employees of the diplomatic mission and citizens of Afghanistan.

Such heinous actions aggravate the situation in Afghanistan and impede the establishment of long-term and stable peace and national harmony in the country", - the report said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has requested that Afghan authorities take all measures to identify the organizers and perpetrators of this inhuman act.
The Ministry also expressed condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

It should be recalled that today, 5 September, a terrorist attack was committed in front of the Russian Embassy in Kabul.  According to “Reuters” citing the police, this explosion was carried out by a suicide bomber.  According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, two diplomatic personnel were killed in the explosion.  The press also reported that a total of eight people were killed in the explosion.
