The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan condemned the air attack on the Al-Ahli hospital in the Gaza Strip. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a statement about this today, October 18.

"It is with deep sadness that we received the news that many people were killed as a result of the air attack on the Al-Ahli hospital in the Gaza Strip. "We strongly condemn this terrible act of violence and consider it a gross violation of international humanitarian law," the statement said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan expressed deep condolences to the family members and relatives of the deceased and called on the parties to the conflict to immediately stop hostilities and refrain from opening fire.

It should be noted that earlier the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan expressed serious concern about the escalation of the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which led to many casualties among civilians and significantly complicated the situation in the entire Middle East. Babur Bekmuradov, deputy of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, chairman of the national movement "Yuksalish", said that the worsening of the situation in the Middle East is the result of the bias of big countries.

Israel-Palestine conflict

On the morning of October 7 this year, a rocket attack was launched from the Gaza Strip into the territory of Israel. Subsequently, Hamas announced the commencement of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" military operation against Israel. In response, the Israel Defense Forces initiated the "Iron Swords" anti-terrorist operation.

Following these events, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu addressed Israelis, stating that what is happening in the country is not just a military operation but a full-fledged war. On October 9, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant announced that the Israeli military would impose a large-scale blockade on the Gaza Strip, which would entail a cut-off of electricity, food, and fuel in the region, with everything being closed.

Furthermore, Israel targeted several mosques in the Gaza Strip, including Al-Yarmuk, Al-Amin Muhammad, Ahmed Yasin, Muhammad El-Habib, Es-Sousi, and Al-Gharbi mosques. Meanwhile, it was reported that the United States of America would send an additional 20-25 F-35 and F-15 fighter jets to the Middle East, with the aim of "containing Iran" amid the tensions surrounding the Gaza Strip. Germany also halted the allocation of previously approved funds for humanitarian projects in the Palestinian territories.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro accused Israel of causing harm to the Palestinian people and called for the immediate initiation of peace talks and the implementation of UN resolutions that guarantee Palestinian territorial rights. Russian President Vladimir Putin also emphasized the need to establish an independent sovereign Palestinian state. He also referred to the armed conflict between Israel and Hamas as a clear example of the failure of US policy. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi highlighted Russia's interest in this Middle East conflict.

According to the latest information, 3,000 people were killed and 13,000 injured in Gaza as a result of armed clashes. The number of victims by Israel is 1.4 thousand people.
