Uzbek ambassador gives credentials to King of the Netherlands

1459The newly appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Kingdom of Belgium, Gayrat Fozilov, presented his credentials to King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands on December 4, according to "Dunyo".
During the formal ceremony, discussions were held regarding the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and the Netherlands. King Willem-Alexander extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The King expressed satisfaction with the dynamic and growing cooperation between the two nations. He highlighted the importance of strengthening political dialogue at various levels and fostering trade, economic, and investment partnerships.
"In light of the Netherlands’ extensive expertise in these fields, discussions also focused on further enhancing collaboration in agriculture, efficient water resource management, and the adoption of advanced technologies and innovations," stated the official report.
As background, on November 14, Ambassador Fozilov presented his credentials to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, in his capacity as the Head of Uzbekistan’s Mission to the European Union. Earlier this year, on February 7, he also presented credentials to King Philippe of the Belgians.
It is noteworthy that another newly appointed Uzbek diplomat, Ambassador Rahmatulla Nurimbetov, recently presented his credentials to King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.
