Uzbekistan signs strategic partnership declaration with UAE

2447Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates have officially established a strategic partnership, as declared in a landmark agreement signed today, January 15. The announcement was made by the Presidential Press Service of Uzbekistan.
The signing followed high-level negotiations in Abu Dhabi between the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed Al Nahyan.
Several key documents were finalized during the meeting, including:
- Declaration on the Establishment of Strategic Partnership
- Intergovernmental Agreement on Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments
- Intergovernmental Agreement on Financial and Technical Cooperation
- Agreement on Cooperation in Standardization, Metrology, and Conformity Assessment
- Interdepartmental Agreements covering investments, industry and advanced technologies, justice, agriculture and food safety, and minerals.
- Protocol on Cultural Cooperation
- Agreement on Cooperation Between Diplomatic Academies
The agreements represent a significant step in deepening bilateral relations across various sectors.
It is worth noting that earlier in the day, at the Qasr al-Shati residence in Abu Dhabi, Presidents Mirziyoyev and Sheikh Mohammed held detailed discussions, both in a narrow circle and alongside official delegations.
