Uzbekistan’s army must always be ready to defend the people. President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev stated this today, January 13, during an expanded meeting of the Security Council dedicated to strengthening the country’s military security and defense.
“The constant analysis of regional and global developments and the strengthening of our national army’s capacity are demands of the time. Uzbekistan’s army must always be ready to protect the people. To achieve this, it must be agile, high-tech, and adapted to new combat conditions,” the president said.
For this reason, the meeting emphasized the need to pay special attention to equipping the armed forces with artificial intelligence-based robotic systems and unmanned platforms, light military equipment, modern weapons, and advanced reconnaissance tools.
The president also noted that further development of the defense industry and the introduction of digital technologies and artificial intelligence at defense enterprises should be among the top priorities.
Relevant officials were instructed to develop comprehensive measures to ensure the protection of personal data and digital systems.
