74.4% of the population of Uzbekistan is provided with centralized running water, and more than a quarter - 25.6% still do not have such a facility. Akmal Murodov, head of the information service of "O’zsuvtaminot" (“Uzbekistan water supply”) JSC, gave information about this at a briefing held at the Agency of information and mass communications.
In addition, in 2022, the level of coverage of tap water services has increased from 17.2% to 18.9%, and the consumer base increased from 4 million 150 thousand to 4 million 400 thousand.
