Those making money by selling contracts with “UzAvto Motors” to go broke

Those who pay for several cars at once and sell them at market price will no longer be able to continue with these activities.  Henceforth, vehicle purchasers’ contracts will be forbid selling to other persons.  This has been reported by the channel «Legal Information» of the Ministry of Justice.

Yesterday, 21 February, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted the resolution «On additional measures on the introduction of information technologies in the purchase of motor vehicles».

According to the resolution, from 1 April 2022 the practice of only submitting an invoice electronically to the Traffic Service of the Department of Public Safety, under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a contract that was automatically issued to the person who signed the contract for the purchase of motor vehicles, will be established by «UzAuto Motors» JSC.

This procedure gives priority to real buyers when buying a car. This means that citizens will not be allowed to sell their car contracts to others. The vehicle will be registered in the name of the person who is the subject of the contract and will be entered into the Traffic Service database.
