A young man was caught feeding a wolf in his house

It was found that a citizen living in “Turkman” neighborhood, Zomin district, Jizzakh region, was illegally keeping a wolf in captivity in his house.  This was reported by the Ministry of Natural Resources.

“The news that spread on social networks about wolves being brought from the Zomin reserve for the kopkari and held in the Syrdarya region, was quickly investigated by the employees of the Zomin district department of the ecological control inspection of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection of the Jizzakh region.  During the study, K.G., a resident of the “Turkman” neighborhood, Zomin district was found out to be keeping a wolf in captivity in his house,” the report said.

For this reason, the citizen is accused of violating the requirements of Articles 4, 32, 33 of the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Protection and Use of Animal World”.  Based on this, the citizen was fined 10 times the amount of the basic calculation, i.e. 3 million soms, based on paragraph 1 of Article 90 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It is noted that measures are currently being taken by the state inspectors to return the wolf to the wild.

It should be recalled that earlier we reported that a brown bear cub included in the “Red Book” was killed in the mountainous area of Dehkanabad district of Kashkadarya region.
