A major fire erupted today, August 8, at a mobile gas station in the city of Urgench, Khorezm region, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
At 19:47, the Fire and Rescue Service received a report of a fire that broke out during the transfer of gasoline from a fuel tanker to a storage tank at the mobile gas station located on Jannatmakon Street.
Five fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene by 19:50. The fire was contained by 19:56 and fully extinguished at 20:06.
As a result, approximately three tons of gasoline were burned and damaged in the mobile storage tank. No injuries have been reported.
The ministry is currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the damage.
It is worth noting that on August 5, an explosion occurred at a gas filling station in the Oltin Dala neighborhood of the Kokdala district, Kashkadarya region. The fire damaged one tanker truck and a 10-cubic-meter liquefied propane gas storage tank.
