Import of flour was exempted from customs duty

In Uzbekistan, the period of application of zero rates of customs duty on some imported goods has been extended.

Yesterday, 17 November, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the decree "On additional measures to ensure price stability in consumer markets".

According to the document, the period of application of the zero rates of import customs duty on 22 types of goods (including fish, fresh or dried citrus fruits (except lemons), margarine, and others) will be extended until 1 July 2023, and wheat flour will be included in this list or wheat-rye flour was also introduced.

It should be recalled that Uzbekistan imported wheat worth 513 million dollars from abroad between January-September 2022.
