Procedure established for teachers to visit sanatoriums

The procedure for accepting teachers and gifted students to recreation centers has been established in Uzbekistan. A government resolution dated July 29 approved the Regulation “On the Procedure for Accepting Vacationers to Recreation Centers under the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.”

According to the Regulation, vacations are granted throughout the year, based on a 12-day schedule.

Vacation periods are organized as follows:

•  For employees of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and outstanding teachers – from September to May;
•  For gifted students – from June to August.

Commissions will be created in each region to select vacationers for sanatoriums. Gifted students aged 7 to 14 will be chosen based on established criteria.

Additionally, the following categories of educators will be eligible for vacation stays:

 Teachers who have prepared winners of international Olympiads;
 Teachers who themselves are former winners of international Olympiads;
 Teachers with international certificates in foreign languages or STEAM subjects;
 Teachers who have trained winners of the national stage of major Olympiads;
 Teachers who have placed in national competitions;
 Primary school teachers with higher or first-level qualifications, and educators from preschool institutions;
 Teachers who have trained winners of the regional stage of major Olympiads.

Vacation opportunities will be granted on a rotational basis according to these criteria.

It is also worth noting that from August 1, salaries for educators in Uzbekistan will be increased.
