The Consulate General provided practical assistance to an Uzbek citizen who sustained a broken leg and was in serious condition following a road accident in Turkey. This was reported by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
It is reported that the citizen, who had gone to Turkey for work, was struck by a motorcycle while crossing the road. As a result of the incident, the woman suffered serious injuries.
“The injured woman found herself in a difficult situation due to a lack of financial resources and nowhere to live,” the report stated.
It is noted that partner organizations coordinated efforts to cover the patient’s medical expenses and arrange her return to Uzbekistan.
It should be recalled that earlier, Uzbek citizens who found themselves in difficult life situations in Russia were also provided with practical assistance and brought back to the country.
