Tokayev arrives in Uzbekistan

At the invitation of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in the country on a working visit today, April 11. This was reported by the press service of the Uzbek leader.

According to the statement, the high-ranking guest was welcomed by the President of Uzbekistan at Bukhara International Airport.

A ceremonial welcome featuring national music, songs, and dances was held. The state flags of the two countries were raised, and an honor guard was lined up. The national anthems were performed by a military orchestra.

The two leaders are scheduled to hold bilateral talks today. Visits to Bukhara’s historical monuments, familiarization with the activities of industrial enterprises, and other events are also planned.

It is worth noting that the President of Kazakhstan visited Uzbekistan in November 2025 to take part in the consultative meeting of the leaders of Central Asian states.
