The oldest manuscript about the life of Amir Temur was found in Tajikistan

The oldest manuscript in the Uzbek language about the life and work of the great master Amir Temur was discovered in Tajikistan.  This was reported by Badruddin McSould, member of the World Society for the Preservation, Study, and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan, professor of the National University of Tajikistan, Doctor of Philological Sciences, and Navoi scientist.

Maksudov said that the book written about Amir Temur can be called the oldest surviving Turkish manuscript.  The oldest Turkish works were written about Amir Temur date back to 1713.

At the end of the book, the manuscript is dated Rajab 1027.  This corresponds to June-July 1618. It is said that this is the date of the copy of the work and that the work could have been written earlier.  Then the age of the work «grows».  It is still unknown who wrote the manuscript, where it was copied and by whom.  

The work traditionally began with the praise of the Creator and the praise of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing).

It is noted that the content of the book, the development of events, and the style of storytelling, and now it difficult to give a clear opinion.  These pages were shown to several well-known specialists, scientists, and scholars.  According to them, the manuscript was copied in Kokand and probably created based on «Zafarnoma» Sharafuddin Ali Yazdi or «Temurnam» Abdullah Haiti.  It is added that a clear conclusion will be given after a full study of the manuscript.

Chairman of the board of the World Society for Preservation, Study and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan Firdavs Abduolikov said that a copy of this unique manuscript, is planned to bring it to Uzbekistan and conduct an in-depth study with the help of famous historians and sources.
