The fire broke out in the “Toshshahartranskhizmat” building. 

Videos showing a fire in the "Toshshahartranskhizmat" joint-stock company (JSC) building in Tashkent were circulated on social networks. QALAMPIR.UZ contacted Navroz Ashurmatov, the head of the information service of the Ministry of Transport, regarding this situation.

According to Ashurmatov, the employees of the city's Emergency Situations Department are currently taking measures to extinguish the fire. Preliminary information suggests that the incident took place in a part of the building that does not belong to JSC, specifically in one of the rooms where construction and repair work are being carried out.

"All employees and citizens who were in the building have been evacuated. The entire building does not belong to "Toshshahartranskhizmat" JSC; the fire occurred in another department where construction work is underway. According to my information, no one was injured, and the reasons for its origin are under investigation," says Navroz Ashurmatov.

According to the correspondent of QALAMPIR.UZ who reached the scene, four fire rescue crews and emergency medical aid teams were involved in extinguishing the fire. Currently, the disaster is almost under control. The Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, Ilhom Mahkamov, also arrived at the scene of the fire.

Muslima Obidova, spokeswoman for "Toshshahartranskhizmat" JSC, informed that this incident occurred in a part of the building rented for a bank office.

"The fire did not affect the entire building but was confined to a specific area. During the welding process in the bank office under renovation, smoke emerged from the alukobond sheathing. As a result, the right side of the building was slightly affected. This incident occurred at 14:40, and fire-rescue personnel arrived at 14:44, completely eliminating the danger. There were no injuries in the incident, and the extent of the damage is currently being assessed," she said.
