Individuals trying to transport more than 600 kilograms of substandard meat into Tashkent were apprehended, as announced by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office.


During an emergency event conducted by law enforcement officers at the Umakay Road Patrol Service, citizen F.E., traveling in the "Karshi-Samarkand-Tashkent" direction, had their Cobalt motor vehicle stopped and inspected. It was discovered that citizen B.Kh. was transporting a total of 500 kg of inedible beef to the city of Tashkent. These products were seized as physical evidence.


Similarly, citizen E.M., traveling on the "Samarkand-Tashkent" route, was driving an Isuzu truck. Upon inspection, it was found that citizen N.R. was transporting a total of 165 kg of inedible beef to the city of Tashkent. These products were also taken as physical evidence.


In connection with these incidents, criminal cases were initiated under Article 186 of the Criminal Code (production, storage, transportation, or transfer, performance of works, or provision of services for the purpose of transferring goods that do not meet safety requirements). According to reports, investigations are currently underway.


It is worth noting that last month in Kashkadarya, individuals were apprehended for transporting 4 tons of unfit meat to the domestic market in a truck.
