Tashkent-Moscow flight diverted to another airport due to drone attack

Today, March 11, Uzbekistan Airways flight HY-611, traveling from Tashkent to Moscow, was diverted to an alternate airport, according to a report by the "Toshkent osmoni yangiliklari" (Tashkent Sky News) Telegram channel.

The crew of flight HY-611 made the decision to divert to Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg after Vnukovo Airport in Moscow was closed due to a drone attack. The "Kover" regime, which is implemented in response to security threats, was activated at Vnukovo Airport.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that Ukrainian drones had launched a large-scale attack on Moscow and its surrounding areas, resulting in one death. Air defense systems were able to shoot down 65 drones during the assault.
