Special privileges will be introduced for residents living in multi-storey buildings located on streets with paid parking lots in Tashkent, the city administration’s press service reported.
According to the information, residence permits will be issued to residents of the capital. Holders of these permits will be able to use parking spaces in their neighborhoods on preferential terms from evening until dawn. Discounts will also be available during the daytime, while broader privileges will be provided on weekends and public holidays.
Integration work is currently underway with the Unified Interactive Public Services Portal to allow residents to obtain these permits electronically. The process is expected to be completed by November this year.
Once finalized, a resolution of the Tashkent city administration will define the procedure for issuing the permits, their validity period, eligible categories of citizens, and the full list of privileges.
“When the decision is made, it will be announced in the prescribed manner for citizens’ information,” the statement said.
It is worth noting that earlier, the Tashkent mayor’s office approved new tariffs for paid parking in the city. According to the resolution, the city is divided into five tariff zones, with prices depending on demand. For example, the first zone — covering the city center and the most congested areas — costs 12,000 soums per hour, while the fifth zone, covering the most remote and least crowded areas, is set at 5,000 soums per hour.
