Fire breaks out in open field in Tashkent's Sergeli district

A fire erupted in an open field engulfed with dry grass in the Sergeli district of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. The Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations confirmed the incident.

According to official reports, on June 18 at approximately 8:06 p.m., a fire started in an area of about 300 square meters near the "Babur" MFY in Sergeli district, Tashkent city. The flames quickly spread through the dry grass and hay, prompting a swift response from two fire-rescue crews. The teams arrived at the scene at 8:18 p.m. and effectively contained the fire by 8:38 p.m., fully extinguishing it just four minutes later, at 8:42 p.m.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or fatalities resulting from the incident. The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of material damages incurred during the incident, as stated in the official report.

This occurrence follows another recent fire incident in Tashkent, where a fire broke out on the upper floor of an unfinished building.
