A man who fatally stabbed his acquaintance at a private clinic in the Tashkent region has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. This was reported by the "Millar" program.
The incident dates back to 2022 when two drivers were involved in a traffic accident in the Tashkent region, during which the defendant sustained a shoulder injury. In the summer of 2024, an acquaintance of one of the individuals involved in the accident approached the defendant, requesting him not to file an appeal regarding the case. A heated argument ensued, and the defendant proposed a meeting.
The defendant, still nursing an injured hand, brought a knife to the meeting. A confrontation erupted, during which the defendant attacked his acquaintance. The victim fled to a nearby clinic, but the defendant pursued him inside and stabbed him multiple times. Despite medical efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The Uchtepa District Criminal Court convicted the defendant under Article 97, Part 1 (Intentional Murder) of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment.
We would like to remind readers of a similar tragic case reported earlier in the Kitab district of the Kashkadarya region. A man, born in 1998, fatally stabbed his wife, born in 1996, and their nearly three-month-old baby in their apartment due to psychological distress. He then hanged himself in an outbuilding. A criminal case was initiated on November 24 under Article 97 of the Criminal Code (Intentional Murder).
