Houses in Tashkent catch fire (video)

A fire broke out today, October 20, in apartments located in the Shaikhontohur district of Tashkent, as reported by the Tashkent City Emergency Situations Department.

The department received a report at 4:54 p.m. about a fire in private residences situated behind the Kokaldosh Mosque on the narrow street of the "Gulbazar" neighborhood in Shaikhontohur district.

Fire and rescue teams arrived at the scene by 5:03 p.m., contained the fire by 5:33 p.m., and fully extinguished it by 5:40 p.m.

Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently under investigation.

As a reminder, a fire also broke out earlier in a five-star hotel in the Mirabad district of Tashkent. In that incident, 14 fire-rescue crews arrived at the scene at 5:24 p.m., with the fire being contained by 6:19 p.m. and fully extinguished by 7:16 p.m.
