Nexia driver hits pedestrian and breaks tree in Tashkent (video)

A road traffic accident involving a Nexia vehicle resulted in injuries to a pedestrian and damage to a roadside tree in the Bektemir district of Tashkent on May 31. The incident was reported by “Millar.”
According to initial reports, the accident occurred after a collision between a Matiz, driven by a man born in 1970, and a Nexia, driven by a man born in 1995. Following the collision, the Nexia driver lost control of the vehicle, veered off the road, struck a pedestrian, and broke a tree.
The injured pedestrian was transported to the Tashkent regional branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care.
Medical staff reported that the patient sustained a closed head injury, a concussion, and a closed fracture in the middle third of the left femur. Emergency care was provided, and the patient was admitted to the intensive care unit.
“After routine treatment, the broken leg was stabilized, and surgery was successfully performed on June 3. The patient’s condition is currently satisfactory,” a hospital representative stated.
The Tashkent City Investigation Department has launched an investigation into the incident.
It is worth noting that on May 2, 2025, another pedestrian was hit by a BYD vehicle while crossing at a designated crosswalk in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent.
