A pedestrian, aged 45, tragically lost his life after being struck by a Malibu vehicle in Tashkent this year, as reported by the capital's Traffic Safety Department news service.

The incident occurred on May 11 in the Mirzo Ulugbek district, around 04:00, when a 20-year-old male driver hit the pedestrian on Feruza Street, in front of the "Oqtepa Lavash" building.

“Following the accident, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene. An investigation has been launched by the city's MDIA investigative department under the 2nd part of Article 266 of the Criminal Code,” the report stated.
