Pedestrian struck by Lacetti in Tashkent dies in hospital

A tragic accident occurred in the Yakkasaroy district of Tashkent on May 2, when a Lacetti car struck a pedestrian, who later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The incident was reported by the Road Traffic Safety Department of Tashkent.

According to the report, at approximately 17:40 on KHAY Street in Yakkasaroy, a Lacetti car driven by A.A., born in 2004, hit a pedestrian who was crossing at a regulated pedestrian crossing. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the pedestrian died from the injuries sustained in the accident.

The Investigation Department of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Bureau has launched a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code (violation of traffic rules or safety regulations). A preventive measure of arrest has been applied to the driver, and the investigation is ongoing.

It should be noted that on April 29, a similar incident occurred in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent, where a Hyundai car collided with a Kawasaki motorcycle, resulting in the death of the motorcycle driver.
