News has circulated on social media about the collapse of a section of the road due to excavation work for the Novza Residence, a multi-story residential complex planned on Novza Street, Chilonzor district, Tashkent. The Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Economy has responded to the situation.

According to the Ministry, research was conducted in the area where the incident occurred. The construction work at the site is being carried out by "Runa International Trading INC" LLC.

The Ministry reported that the construction and installation works at the multi-apartment residential complex, which includes lower floors designated for commercial and household services, are in violation of the Cabinet of Ministers' decision No. 200, "On Approval of Unified Administrative Construction Regulations in the Construction Industry." Specifically, the construction started without the required registration through the notification procedure for initiating construction and installation works from the inspection.

"During the investigation, it was found that the site is surrounded by profiled metal sheets, and earthworks are being carried out without adherence to the relevant rules and regulations," the ministry's statement added.

Additionally, a warning letter was sent to the head of the LLC to halt the construction and assembly works. The situation is currently under control, and further information will be provided.

It is worth noting that earlier in Juma, a city in the Pastdargom district of the Samarkand region, a neighboring house collapsed while a trench was being dug.
