4861Social media buzzed with news claiming that Tashkent's heating system would be activated starting November 10. However, a representative from Veolia Energy Tashkent has clarified that this information is incorrect.
The organization is currently awaiting an official decision from the Tashkent city mayor to begin the healing process.
"The decision on when to turn on the heating in Tashkent will come from the city mayor. The government has also requested a detailed weather forecast from Uzhydromet, the Hydrometeorological Service Agency under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change. According to standard policy, heating is only activated if temperatures fall below +8°C for five consecutive days. For now, we’re waiting," said the Veolia spokesperson.
The Veolia spokesperson further advised against relying on unverified information and assured that official updates will be published soon.
For context, Tashkent’s heating system activation has varied in previous years based on weather conditions:
Let us remember, in 2022, heating began on October 24, in 2021, heating was activated on October 12, last year, heating was provided from November 6.
