An individual who sold drugs was beaten up in Tashkent

Videos showing unknown persons beating a citizen went viral on social networks. The General Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent city supported information about this situation.

It is noted that on 12 October of the current year at approximately 21:00 p.m., J.R., born in 2003, Sh.A., born in 2001, and R.A., born in 2005, arranged a meeting with A.B., born in 2003, in the Mirabad district of Tashkent city, A.B. was involved in the distribution of narcotics via Telegram-bot.

After that, they took A.B. to the Bustanlyk district, beat, and seriously injured him. They also sprayed iodine solution on him.

In connection with this situation, the investigation department of the Mirabad District Department of Coordination of the Activities of the Internal Affairs Bodies started measures, in correspondence with the Article 137, Part 2 of the Criminal Code ("Kidnapping") and Article 105, Part 2 ("Intentional moderate grievous bodily harm", a criminal case was initiated with the charge of "causing damage." A precautionary measure of detention was applied to the suspects.

During the investigation, J.R., Sh.A., and R.A.'s involvement in committing several other similar crimes were revealed.  The investigation is currently ongoing.

The General Department of Internal Affairs Bodies of Tashkent city reported that there is a criminal responsibility for distributing drugs to citizens and that the persons who committed this crime will be held accountable according to the current legislation.
