Scooter driver dies after collision with Damas in Tashkent

On June 2, a scooter driver died following a collision with a Damas vehicle in the Sergeli district of Tashkent, according to the city’s Road Traffic Safety Department.
The accident occurred at 11:50 p.m. at the intersection of Mirzo Tursunzoda and Mehrigiyo streets. The collision between the Damas and the scooter resulted in the scooter driver’s death at the scene.
The Investigation Department of the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs has opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code, which addresses violations of vehicle operation rules. A preliminary investigation is currently underway.
Earlier in the Sergeli district, a Cobalt car driver struck a scooter rider and passenger. Medical personnel provided first aid to both scooter occupants.
