About 475 km of 34 separate bus lanes will be established in the city of Tashkent.  This was announced by the Head of the Traffic Safety Department of the Ministry of Public Security, Fazliddin Toshkenboyev.

Toshkenboyev said that first of all, a bus lane will be established along central streets such as Alisher Navoi, Beruniy, Amir Temur and Fergana roads.  It will take 1-2 months to cover the rest of the streets.  The reason is that the weather conditions are also taken into account when painting the sidewalks.

It is noted that except for buses, only ambulances, fire brigade and Ministry of Internal Affairs vehicles can move through the corridors.  The rest of the vehicles will be prohibited from moving and this will cause the corresponding responsibility.

“However, any vehicle will be allowed to use this lane for a certain reason, for example, to enter the roadside facilities or the street,” says Fazliddin Toshkenboyev.

For access to streets or facilities on the right side of the road, there are long lines on the sidewalks, the distance of which is approximately 40-50 meters.  Where the street or facility begins, these ring lines end and vehicles are required to give way to the bus lane.

YHXX has developed a video guide on how to move or stop in separate lanes.

Earlier, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in his address to the parliament, drew attention to the situation with public transport and said that 2,000 buses will be brought to the republic by Navruz holiday (half of them for the city of Tashkent).
