6953A video circulating on social media shows two drivers arguing on a Tashkent highway, sparking discussions online. The Tashkent Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) responded to the incident.
According to the report, the altercation took place on October 25 around 18:20 on Nyi Sergeli Street in the Sergeli district. The drivers, identified as M.J. (born 1998) and U.S. (born 1997), were involved in a collision between their Matiz and Spark vehicles. Following the accident, they exited their cars and engaged in behavior that disrupted public order.
The drivers did not notify the DIA at the time of the incident.
As a result, the Sergeli district DIA filed an administrative report under Article 183 of Uzbekistan's Code of Administrative Responsibility, which covers "Petty Hooliganism." The case has been forwarded to the District Criminal Court for appropriate legal measures.
This incident is reminiscent of an earlier case on August 11 in Fergana City, where an altercation on Sanoat Street led to a criminal case under Article 183. Those involved received an administrative prison sentence of 15 days.
