It is understood that dozens of dogs were brutally slaughtered in a house in the Tashkent region.  This was reported by the “Mehr and Consequence” animal protection organization.

On the 4 March this year, the “Mehr and Consequence” animal protection organization received a complaint about cruelty to animals at the collective farm named after Ahmad Yassavi in Tashkent region.  The complaint suggested that dogs had been brutally killed in one of the houses there.

In connection with the situation, the volunteers of “Mehr va Oqibat” went to the given address together with officers from law enforcement agencies.  When they examined the yard of the house, they saw blood and dozens of dog skins on the ground.  The perpetrators tried to cover the blood and skin with dirt.  Also, the owner of the house said that dogs were not slaughtered there.

Volunteers managed to save 35 dogs and 9 puppies in the yard.  10 dogs were transferred to the Gavcheg shelter, and the rest to the “Mehr” center.

Currently, all the circumstances of the incident, including how and where the killed dogs were brought to, are being investigated.
