Man Fatally Attacks Acquaintance with an Axe in Tashkent Region

In a tragic incident that unfolded in the Tashkent region, a 45-year-old man brutally killed his acquaintance while under the influence of alcohol. The press secretary of the General Prosecutor’s Office, Hayat Shamsutdinov, shared this distressing information with KALAMPIR.UZ.

According to Shamsutdinov, the incident took place on June 5, 2023, at approximately 9:00 p.m. in a house on Yonariq Street, located in the Sarke district of Tashkent.

The perpetrator, identified as citizen KK, was consuming alcohol with his acquaintance, M.A., when an argument erupted between them. Regrettably, the situation escalated, leading K.A. to strike M.A. on the head with an iron axe, causing severe injuries that proved fatal. M.A. tragically lost his life at the scene.

Law enforcement officials promptly apprehended the suspect, who now faces charges under Article 97, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. As a preventive measure, the court ordered the suspect’s detention, and he is currently held at the investigative detention facility No. 1, under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
