A 17-year-old drug courier has been arrested in the Tashkent region, as reported by the General Directorate of Internal Affairs of the region.

According to the report, a citizen born in 2007 was apprehended while selling 70 pieces of "Aminomethyl" and 3 pieces of "Tropicamide" drugs for 4,300,000 soums to a controlled buyer during a swift operation in the Tashkent district. Additionally, seven more powerful drugs were confiscated as evidence.

The investigation revealed that an individual born in 1981 was originally meant to deliver these drugs to the controlled buyer, but the father instead sent his 17-year-old son to complete the transaction.

The operation continued with a search of the father and son's living quarters. This search uncovered 9,800 pieces of "Zardex," 250 pieces of "Aminomethyl," and 15 pieces of "Tropicamide," with a black market value of 857 million soums. These items were seized as evidence.

A criminal case has been initiated against those arrested under Article 251/1 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the illegal distribution of powerful or poisonous substances. The investigation is ongoing.

It is noteworthy that earlier in Jizzakh, a 58-year-old man was arrested for possessing weapons and drugs in his home.
