A 10-year-old boy was struck by a train in the Zangiota district of the Tashkent region. The press secretary of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Hayot Shamsutdinov, shared this information with QALAMPIR.UZ.
The incident occurred on June 20 at 9:30 AM. According to Shamsutdinov, the boy, identified as S.A. and born in 2014, was crossing the railway on his bicycle at an unmarked location when he was hit by an electric train traveling from Bekobod to Tashkent. S.A. sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
"An investigation is currently underway," the statement said.
Previously, in the Andijan region, an 8-year-old girl was also struck by a train.
