The hospital of the Tashkent Medical Academy was left without a “light”

Videos showing that the Tashkent Medical Academy (Institute) hospital was cut off from electricity, leaving patients in cold rooms were circulated on social networks. Joint-stock company “Regional Electric Networks” provided information about the situation.

Yesterday, 18 December, an underground cable network supplied by the high-voltage “Vadil” substation in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent city was cut off.

In Tashkent Medical Academy (Institute), an emergency situation occurred due to damage to high-voltage underground cable networks coming out of “Vadil” in the area due to carelessness during excavation works in order to stop an emergency issue with the drinking water pipeline.

In this case, the employees of the “Territorial Electric Networks” Joint Stock Company, a special operative team for elimination of high voltage accidents, carried out quick repair work to eliminate malfunctions.  On the same day, the building was fully re-connected to the electricity.
