The value of the agreements reached at the Tashkent Investment Forum is announced

As a result of the first Tashkent International Investment Forum, a package of specific contracts and investment agreements worth 7.8 billion dollars has been signed. This is reported by the press service under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.

“According to the results achieved at the forum, a package of specific contracts and investment agreements worth 7.8 billion dollars was signed. Preliminary project agreements of $3.5 billion have also been reached,”- the report says.

It should be recalled that the first Tashkent International Investment Forum, which started on 24 March, has ended.  This was an important event in the business world, bringing together more than 2000 participants – large investors and high-ranking guests from 56 countries.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the forum, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that in the next five years the country’s GDP is expected to be at the level of 100 billion dollars, and annual exports – up to 30 billion dollars; business would be guaranteed by the President and the Government of Uzbekistan.
