Tashkent’s air quality improves significantly (photo)

Tashkent’s air quality has improved noticeably over the past 24 hours, according to the Special Commission.

The commission reported that PM2.5 pollution levels in the capital have decreased and were only 20 percent above the norm, whereas in previous days they had been 2.5 to 3.5 times higher.

The concentration of PM10 fine particulate matter reached 125 µg/m³, which did not exceed the permitted limit of 300 µg/m³.

According to the IQAir portal, Tashkent has dropped to 26th place among the world’s most polluted cities, with air quality marked in the yellow category.

Earlier, it was reported that air pollution in Tashkent was expected to persist for several days.
